Kissinger: Trump the one true leader

Loading…

Friday, November 9, 2018

Henry Kissinger had much to say about our President Trump. “Donald Trump is a phenomenon that foreign countries haven’t seen before.” Yes, President Trump is much different from our previous president that was willing to bow to other world leaders.

Trump’s presence was immediately felt in the world the morning after his election. Business leaders were elated that America now had someone who knew how to run a government like a business. Optimism grabbed our national economy and has not looked back. Kissinger also said, “Trump is the one true leader in world affairs and he is forcing policy changes that put America first.”

There is not a Democrat alive that would stand down North Korea, Iran, China and Russia with any measurable results compared to our president. Jobs, money and respect have come back to America. If you are a working citizen in America you are much better off than you were two years ago. Trade deals don’t just happen, and America has had miserable politicians losing our trade deals for too long. But no longer!

President Trump has put America’s business first. Remember Obama saying “2.5 GDP is no longer attainable” because 1 percent was Obama’s new norm. Now Trump has us at 4.1 GDP. Plus we have the lowest unemployment since December 1969!

President Trump is a genius leading America, but it is God’s anointing that makes him seem infallible to those who love America. You and I must do our part for America to continue to succeed by voting for leaders that will work with our president and not against him as he leads America as the Holy Spirit leads him. He is a new Christian, just giving his life to Christ in 2016 — we must pray a hedge of protection around him daily.

Over Mayor P.J. Connelly’s objection, the Greenville City Council finally passed an acceptable stormwater plan. It wasn’t the strongest possible plan to protect citizens and property from flooding, but it was much better than a weaker plan supported by the mayor. Mayor Connelly said in…

This past weekend my wife and I headed to Westwood to watch the UCLA Bruins host our Pirates in a three-game baseball series. What we witnessed was collegiate baseball played at the highest level!

From the slick fielding to the great at-bats to the phenomenal pitching, the games had the feel of a…

Big "Teddy Bear" Bernie Sanders has been shouting, "Free medicine for everyone!" because 71 percent of the people in America, according to the polls, favor free health care.

The fact is though that Medicare co-pays, deductibles, and principle payments (part B) fill up the Medicare program…

There was a time when I had pretty hands. That was then and this is now. I don’t mind that my hands don’t have the smoothness of my youth, but nonetheless my hands are problematic.

You see I can be out and about, here at home or any place at all and it happens. I may be puffed up, proud,…

As a disabled veteran of the Vietnam War, I am deeply concerned that there are people in high places who are in the process of choreographing yet another useless war for the fine young men and women of our military to go get maimed and die in for no legitimate purpose.

In particular, and mark my…

Medicaid expansion could provide affordable health care to about 9,800 Pitt County residents struggling to get by on very low incomes. Without affordable health insurance, people must make too many hard choices as they triage their bills and obligations. Which is least crucial, groceries,…

I am writing this letter in response to the March 23 letter about white supremacist attitudes that have been prevalent throughout United States history. Likewise, racism and intolerance of all marginalized minorities is not just a part of American history; it is also a part of Evangelical church…

As we approach the central holy days of the Christian calendar, I ask my brothers and sisters in Christ to advocate for peace. The U.S. House of Representatives has just passed a resolution to end our participation in the Saudi-led war in Yemen. This is the first time since the Vietnam war that…

I was stunned to turn on the TV just in time to see Trump say he signed a presidential proclamation saying it is now U.S. policy to acknowledge the Golan Heights as Israeli territory — Syrian land which Israel has occupied since the Six-Day War in 1967.

The land in question is 30 miles from…
