Jones served with integrity

I’m guessing Walter will be leaving us pretty soon.
I’ve known him most of my life and many years ago his father bailed me out of a situation that would have bankrupted me.
I was 29 years old and had never made a political contribution to him and called his office directly at 8:30 in the morning.
i spoke with his office manager and explained my situation to him.
At 9;30 a.m. My problem was gone.
The office manager called me back and asked me if my problem had been taken care of and if I had been treated courteously.
He never asked me for a donation, only that I remember them in the next election.
Walter Jr. was like that.
I did not agree with his politics 95 percent of the time but always voted for him.
He was a honest and honorable man much unlike the people around him in D.C.
He voted his conscience as was evidenced by his own party removing him from all the House committees he should have served on automatically.
He was a unique person and floated far above the swamp.
He will be sorely missed.
The only promise I can leave him with is that I will vote for anyone who has those same traits of honesty and integrity no matter their political affiliation.
Take care Walter.
