Denounce, defend and love

If there was ever a time to call it like you see it, it's now.
Recent events throughout our nation have not only shone the spotlight once again on our lack of unity, kindness, decency and respect for human life, but they have spoken a deeper truth — we are unequivocally wrong.
We are wrong to think we can decide who is better than others, wrong to disregard another's right to the pursuit of happiness and wrong to sit by quietly while our fellow humans are being criticized, bullied, terrorized and slaughtered.
Those of us who call ourselves Christians, and especially those of us in the white majority, have an even greater responsibility. The Word is very clear — we are to love, period. We are to defend the oppressed, period! We are to denounce wickedness, period. We are to repent, period!
Will you join me in repenting, denouncing, defending and loving? Will we stand united to fulfill Mark 12:31, Isaiah 1:17, Proverbs 17:5, 2 Chronicles 7:14?
