TURN AND BURN: A POTTER’S WHEEL CAMP

WHO: ages 11 and older

WHAT: Participants will receive instruction in pottery, including centering, pulling, trimming, finishing and glazing.

VAN GOGH IN DOUGH

WHO: ages 6-10

WHAT: Participants will and build work using coil, slab, and molding ceramic techniques to explore the art of Van Gogh through the media of clay and ceramics.

WHAT: Campers will use slab, pinch and coil techniques to make animal masks, pots, and sculptures as well as houses and habitats.

YOUNG POTTER’S WHEEL CAMP

WHAT: Participants will learn to prepare the clay for throwing, centering, pulling, and creating forms and trimming.

WHEN: 9 a.m.-noon June 19-23, July 10-14 or July 31-Aug. 5 or 2-5 p.m. June 26-30, July 17-21

WHERE: Jaycee Park Center for Arts and Crafts, 2000 Cedar Lane

COST: $90 per session for city residents, $135 for others
