Auditions

Magnolia Arts Center has scheduled auditions for “Almost Maine” from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Dec. 11-12 at 1703 E. 14th St. Visit magnoliaartscenter.com.

GMA

The annual School of Art and Design holiday sale will be held through Saturday. It will feature student artwork, including ceramics, drawing, metals, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and textiles. Proceeds will benefit students and student guilds. Hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.

The Visual Arts Academy exhibition will be held from Thursday through Dec. 17 in the Commons Gallery.

City Art Gallery

The annual holiday show continues through Dec. 31. It includes paintings, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, blown-glass ornaments and stem-ware and hand-painted cards.

Gray Gallery

The bachelor of fine arts senior exhibitions will be on display from today through Dec. 15. An opening reception will be held from 5-8 p.m. today.

Emerge

The Holiday Artist Market will take place from today through Dec. 23 in the Don Edwards and Harvey Wooten galleries. An opening reception will be held from 5-8 p.m. today as part of the First Friday Artwalk.

The exhibit and sale will include painting, wood, jewelry, textiles, pottery and mixed media. Featured artists include: Kathy Lyles, Alisha McKinney, Suzanne Morrow, Liz Steiner, Robbie Watson, Anna Webster, Brenda Wells, Christine Zoller, Catherine Spruill and Daniel Peoples.

Joyner Library

The 10th Annual Joyner Library School of Art and Design Graduate Student Art Exhibit continues through Jan. 28 in the Janice Hardison Faulkner Gallery on the second floor of Joyner Library. The exhibition features artworks by graduate students in ECU’s School of Art and Design. Works will include paintings and drawings, textile and metal designs, sculpture, photography and pottery. Greene County Museum will exhibit artwork by students of Karla Jennings through Dec. 29. Jennings is a self-taught artist who offers watercolor classes to residents of Greene and surrounding counties.
