LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) -- Jeter Downs drove in four runs, while Devin Mann and Marcus Chiu drove in four and three, respectively, as the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes beat the Lancaster JetHawks 18-8 on Wednesday.

Downs homered, doubled and singled twice, driving in four runs and scoring three. Mann was a home run short of the cycle, driving in four runs.

Trailing 3-0 in the second, Lancaster cut into the lead when Ryan Vilade hit a solo home run.

After Rancho Cuca. added a run in the third when Drew Avans scored on a groundout, the Quakes extended their lead in the fifth inning when Downs hit a three-run home run and Mann hit a two-run triple.

The Quakes punctuated the blowout with six runs in the sixth and three in the ninth. In the sixth, Chiu hit a three-run home run, while Connor Wong drew a bases-loaded walk, scoring Downs in the ninth.

Wills Montgomerie (3-0) got the win in relief while Lancaster starter Garrett Schilling (2-2) took the loss in the California League game.

For the JetHawks, Austin Bernard homered and singled, scoring a pair of runs while also driving home a couple. Vilade homered and singled, driving home two runs.

Despite the loss, Lancaster is 5-2 against Rancho Cuca. this season.
