Robbers steal guns from pawn shop

Two masked men armed with a rifles stole a number of guns during a robbery at a Greenville pawn shop Saturday morning, the Greenville Police Department reported.

Officers responded to Southern Gun and Pawn, 1928 S.E. Greenville Blvd., shortly after 10 a.m., a news release said. The store is located south of 10th Street near Cherry Court.

The men reportedly entered the store and held the workers at gunpoint, the news release said. They were able to get away with an undisclosed amount of weapons. No one was injured during the robbery and the investigation is ongoing.

Due to the fact the robbery occurred at a licensed firearm retailer, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms will be assisting with the investigation, the release said.
