Thanksgiving is a time for getting together with family, shopping for Christmas presents, eating good food and watching football on TV. For Thanksgiving, The Daily Reflector asked people in downtown Greenville what they were thankful for. Here are their responeses.
Sharon Haywood: I'm thankful for my family and my new job at the sheriff's department because I absolutely love it and love all my co-workers
Nichele Reyes: My family. I'm very thankful for them, my children. I'm thankful for my job and I'm thankful to be healthy and being in an all around good place.
Karen Harper: I'm thankful for my family and a place where I can come to visit. I love coming to Greenville and visiting family.
Kenny Lee Dixon Jr.: For living. For God dying on the cross for my sins.
Keith Williams: Looking back on this year, I'm grateful for God protecting my daughter. She was in a bad car accident and she came through just fine. We're thankful for His providence.
Lonnie Jones: To be here and to have my health and strength. I'm going to enjoy Thanksgiving.
Colby Harding: I'm grateful for my little girl, Janay. She'll be 11 in January. When she was about four years old, my little boy got killed. Instead of taking it as a life changing event, as a negative thing, she took it and really ran with it. She always finds kids that are less fortunate than we are. She'll go through her closet and get clothing and shoes out and donates them to her school. She is a good kid.
Anthony Owens: Life, health and strength.
