People needing medical attention for nonemergency conditions don’t have to risk leaving home as Hurricane Florence sweeps North Carolina.

Vidant Health has waved its fees for VidantNow, a virtual care service that allows people to speak with a medical provider via video or telephone, according to a news release.

Vidant is waving the cost of visits through midnight Monday. Patients must use the code: vidantrelief.

Individuals with conditions like sore throat, fever, nausea, earaches and UTIs to can speak with a board-certified doctor in family medicine, internal medicine or pediatrics around the clock.

Users will be asked to create an account, give their medical history and then request a virtual care visit.
