Pitt County Schools has announced make-up days for the time missed during Hurricane Florence. No final decision has been made regarding additional days missed at Grifton or G.R. Whitfield schools.

The district has scheduled full school days on Oct. 11 and Nov. 7, which were originally set to be early-release days. In addition, Oct. 12 will now be a regular school day rather than a teacher workday.

Other school hours missed are being made up using banked instructional time.

Students at Innovation Early College High School at ECU will attend school for a full day on Oct. 25 and Nov. 30. These days were formerly early-release days. Students also will attend school Oct. 26, which had been scheduled as a teacher workday.

At Pitt County Schools Early College at PCC, students will attend classes until 4 p.m. (instead of a 2 p.m. release) on Oct. 12, Oct. 25 and Nov. 9. In addition, Oct. 26, originally a teacher workday, is now a regular school day.
