Tickets for a Hurricane Florence relief concert headlined by the Avett Brothers go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and are expected to sell fast.

The show is set for Nov. 13 at Minges Coliseum to benefit organizations that aid people affected by the storm. Tickets will be available at https://ecutickets.net or by calling 1-800-DIAL-ECU. They are $75 for the lower level and $65 for the upper level.

The Avett Brothers’ promotions team released presale tickets to Avett Brothers Fan Club members on Tuesday. Those tickets sold out in four minutes, said Bianca Shoneman of Uptown Greenville, one of the concert’s organizers.

The grammy-winning Avetts played Greenville in their early day and are returning for the Concert for Hurricane Florence Relief along with Future Islands and Valient Thorr, national acts that formed in Greenville and built followings here.

The concert is organized by Inner Banks Media, East Carolina University, the City of Greenville and Uptown Greenville.

Organizers hope the event will raise $300,000 for organizations that are working to provide relief in the state. Shoneman said the Avetts and local organizers are working to determine which organizations the concert will benefit.

The fundraising effort got a big boost from The Carolina Panthers NFL organization this week, Shoneman said.

The Panthers signed up for a $25,000 sponsorship for the show, she said.
