Coffee & History series
The Coffee & History program will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Farmville Public Library, 4276 W. Church St., Farmville, with a discussion on human trafficking. Call 753-3355.
Farmville Senior Council
The Farmville Senior Council will meet at 1 p.m. at the Soup Kitchen, 3492 S. Walnut St. Seniors, age 60 and older, are welcome to attend. The group will discuss the March and April trips to Simply Natural Creamery in Ayden and to the Women’s Show in Raleigh. Other day-trip ideas are welcome. Daily morning transportation to and from the Senior Center at the Farmville Community Center is available. Call Cathy at 714-5930.
Senior drop-in
Winterville Parks and Recreation will host its free golden-age senior drop in program from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Winterville Operations Center, 2936 Church St., Winterville, featuring bridge, bingo, puzzles, cards, aerobics and Zumba. Call 756-1487.
Museum tour
Greenville Museum of Art, 802 S. Evans St., will host a free curator-led tour from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Participants will be led through the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions by the museum's assistant curator of exhibitions and collections, Trista Reis Porter. Visit gmoa.org.
Sculpture exhibit
An inclusive public art sculpture exhibit will be held from 6-8 p.m. in the Goess Center at Pitt Community College, 169 Bulldog Run, Winterville. The event is hosted by artist Sally Jacobs, along with the Association of Mexicans in North Carolina and the Eastern North Carolina Latin American Coalition. The mobile and interactive art sculpture portrays the circumstances of the local farmworker population and provides educational and advocacy opportunities to the public. Free. Toastmasters

Mexican Brass
Mexican Brass will perform at 8 p.m. in Wright Auditorium as part of ECU’s S. Rudolph Alexander Performing Arts Series. Latin America’s most successful brass quintet combines skills at virtuosic chamber music in all styles, non-stop interaction with the audience and showmanship. Tickets are $15-$45. Pancake fundraisers
■ The Youth Committee at Reedy Branch Free Will Baptist Church, 4457 Reedy Branch Road, Winterville, will have a pancake dinner fundraiser beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. For more information call Tony Moore at 341-7457.
■ The Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society of Women Educators will hold a pancake breakfast fundraiser from 7-9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Hwy 55 Restaurant, 1920 Smythewyck Drive. Tickets are $7 at the door and include pancakes, choice of sausage or bacon and a beverage. All proceeds support Grant-in-Aid scholarships for ECU education majors in their senior year.
Cemetery management
A group of concerned families will meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Pitt County Council on Aging, 4551 County Home Road, to discuss the management of Branch’s Cemetery (the large cemetery, not the small wooded area) located on Ayden Golf Club Road in Ayden. Anyone interested in the management of this cemetery is invited to attend. RSVP to branch.cemetery@outlook.com to reserve a seat.
State of the District
Uptown Greenville will host its annual meeting, The State of the District, from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday at The Martinsborough, 330 S. Evans St. Features will include the Uptown Greenville Award Presentations, updates on major district initiatives and internationally-recognized keynote speaker Juanita Hardy, a former IBM Executive and senior visiting fellow for creative placemaking at the Urban Land Institute.
