Coffee & History series

The Coffee & History series will give a presentation at 10:30 a.m. at the May Museum and Park, 3802 S. Main St., Farmville, for a presentation about Ainsley’s Angels. Call 753-6725 for more information.

Spaghetti fundraiser

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held from 4-8 p.m. at 403 St. Andrews Drive for the benefit of veterans, East Carolina University and Pitt Community College nursing scholarships and local JROTC programs. The price per plate is $10. Proceeds will be donated, and tickets are available at the door.


The Greenville Toastmasters Club will meet from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Sheppard Memorial Library, 530 Evans St. Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. Jobs and training 

A Community Conversation on Jobs and Training will be held at the Winterville Community Room in the Public Safety Building, 2593 Railroad St. at 7 p.m. Representatives from Pitt Community College, Mid-East Workforce Development, ROSS Employment Services and other agencies and businesses will present information on their services. Participants will be given the opportunity to ask questions and obtain information on jobs and training. Parents, students, senior citizens, pastors and community leaders are urged to attend. Pancake supper

Science expo

Silk Scarf

Emerge Gallery & Art Center, 404 S. Evans St., will offer a free “Art Is Good Medicine” workshop, “Silk Scarf,” from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on March 21. The workshop is free to those affected by cancer, including patients, survivors, caregivers and family members older than 16. Advance registration is helpful, but not required. Gardening with children 

A “Gardening with Children Workshop” will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 30 at the Community Schools and Recreation Building, 4561 County Home Road. The workshop is for anyone interested in starting or modifying a children’s garden program. Topics will include the history of children’s garden programs, outdoor classroom management, curriculum resources, food and garden safety, basic gardening techniques and others. The workshop will include some hands-on activities and a drawing for an instant garden kit. Lunch will be provided. Workshop will be limited to 20 participants. All-school reunion

The Ninth Annual Belvoir-Falkland High School All-School Reunion will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 4 in the Family Life Center of the Holly Hill Original Free Will Baptist Church, 755 Porter Road (N.C. 33), Belvoir.
