Tuesday, June 11, 2019
Pitt County Emergency Management and North Carolina Forestry Service Officials have rescinded the burning ban for Pitt County.
The ban went into effect on May 30.
Based upon recent weather conditions, the threat of increased outdoor related fire has been reduced, an emergency management news release said.
All residents are encouraged to maintain safety precautions during any fire-related activity.
Emergency management will continue to work with all partnering agencies to monitor weather and fire conditions moving forward, the release said.
