Four men charged with armed robbery on ECU campus

Four men are jailed on $100,000 bonds after allegedly robbing a man and taking his wallet on Saturday morning, the East Carolina University Police Department reported.

Arrested were Tyshon Maleek Arnold, 18, of 1621 Vintage Road, Raleigh, Jacoby Kashen Cox, 18, of 307 E. Railroad St., Selma, Isaiah Devon Simmons, 19, and Malcolm Joshua Robinson, 20, of 320 Laney St., Garner.

All four men are being charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

ECU Police were notified that an armed robbery occurred on College Hill Drive around 3 a.m. The victim said that there were 4 black male subjects who approached him and engaged him in conversation.

One subject displayed a handgun and told the victim to give him his wallet. The victim was not harmed in the incident. There is no known, ongoing threat to the campus community, and ECU Police are investigating the incident.
