A banner season for Pitt Community College sophomore Joe Quinones-Mason led to him being named a junior college Division II baseball All-American on Monday.
The outfielder from Morehead City finished this year with a .458 batting average and 12 home runs in also earning the Region X player of the year award. He added eight doubles, six triples, five stolen bases and 51 RBIs to lead the Pitt offense and help the Bulldogs finish with a 30-12-1 record.
PCC took first place during the Region X regular season and had its season end May 14 during the Region X/Southeast District tournament in Burlington.
