The Pitt Community College basketball team entered the new week with an even 4-4 record after splitting its games on the road over the weekend.

That included an 87-65 win over Thomas Nelson C.C. on Saturday before a 76-63 setback at Bryant & Stratton on Sunday afternoon.

Against Thomas Nelson, the Bulldogs were powered by a quartet of double-digit scorers thanks to Damar Sutton’s 16 points and eight rebounds; Timothy Downing’s 15 points, six rebounds and five assists; Reginald Clark’s 14 points and seven boards and Rovel Ray’s 11 points off the bench.

Pitt led 43-28 at halftime and never looked back.

On Sunday, the Bulldogs were led by Clark’s 12 points and six boards, but he was Pitt’s lone double-digit scorer in the loss. Sutton added nine points and Ben Cox eight.

PCC is back on the floor at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Central Carolina C.C.
