Cellular Sales, the nation’s largest Verizon premium retailer, will celebrate the opening of its newest location in Tarboro with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday.

The store, located at 102 River Oaks Drive across from Walmart, opened on Aug. 2. Ribbon-cutting festivities included special deals throughout the day, an on-site remote with 94.3 The Game, and snacks and refreshments from Jersey Mike’s.

“We’re excited to be part of the Tarboro community,” Regional Director Mike Baker said. “North Carolina was where Cellular Sales started its nationwide expansion, and it continues to be a great state for us.”

The Knoxville, Tenn.-based company, founded in 1993, operates approximately 560 U.S. stores, becoming the nation’s largest Verizon Wireless premium retailer. Cellular Sales has been named to Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing, privately owned companies for eight of the past nine years.

The company employs nearly 4,500 people. Individuals interested in applying to be a Cellular Sales store representative in Tarboro should contact recruiter Matt Henry at Matt.Henry@cellularsales.com or 843-637-0475.
