Riley’s Army appoints board president, elects board members

Riley’s Army has announced the appointment of Kirk Philpot as board president and the election of three new members to the Riley’s Army Board of Directors.
Kirk Philpot, founder of Riley’s Army, will serve as board president. New board members include John Berry, project director for TA Loving; Jessica Ziemba, Riley’s Army family; and Lynn Pischke, account executive at Media General WNCT.
“I am pleased to welcome John, Jessica, and Lynn and new Board members and Kirk as our new president,” said Kimber Stone, executive director of Riley’s Army. “These individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise in their fields and will be tremendous assets to our organization as we further our mission of supporting children with pediatric cancer and their families of Eastern N.C.”
These new members will join Mike Roberson, Katie Ventures, Jeff Connors, Rick Owens, Sonya Hall, Nicole DaVia, and Kelly Philpot. The Riley’s Army Board of Directors is comprised of individuals from medical, business, academic, and volunteer communities of the Greenville area. It is the Board’s responsibility to provide counsel and guidance in the direction and operations of the organization as well as it is to raise awareness of the organization’s mission to the surrounding communities.
