TODAY: The Pitt Community College Small Business Center is hosting a free seminar from 6-9 p.m. entitled Beginning QuickBooks for Business. This seminar is an introduction to the popular QuickBooks accounting software. You must have basic computer skills - how to use a mouse, etc. Cost is free but pre-registration is required. TUESDAY: The Tar River Beekeepers will hold a six-week Bee School on February 13, 20, 27 and March 13, 20 and 27 in the Auditorium of the Pitt County Agriculture Center, 403 Government Circle. The first meeting is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and the remaining meetings are from 7-8:30 p.m. The course prepares participants to raise bees and to become Certified Beekeepes. Pre-registration through Jan. 31 is encouraged so that enough course materials are on hand for the first meeting. The pre-registration fee is $40 and includes all course materials ($50 at the door).
