Pitt County Schools has announced the winners for our 2017-18 Pitt County Schools Classified Employee of the Year.

According to officials, the selected winners have shown exceptional capabilities and an immense love for the students of Pitt County Schools.

■ Custodian of the Year: Roscoe Backman, Hope Middle School.

■ Office Employee of the Year: Lori Coleman, W.H. Robinson School.

■ Teacher Assistant of the Year: Monica Dupree, H.B. Sugg School.

■ Child Nutrition Employee of the Year: Faith Verma, C.M. Eppes Middle School.

■ Child Nutrition Manager of the Year: Mary Goddard, Sadie Saulter.

■ Education Center Transportation Employee of the Year: Larry Stokes.

■ Transportation Department Bus Driver of the Year: Randy Foskey, Belvoir ElementarySchool.

■ K-8 Bus Driver of the Year: Elizabeth Croom-Moore, Eastern Elementary School.

■ 9-12 Bus Driver of the Year: Richard Mercer, Farmville Central High School.
