After receiving a district grant for 2018-19, the Greenville Morning Rotary Club presented Rocking Horse Ranch Therapeutic Riding Program with a check for $1,023 to fund scholarships.

For more than 20 years, The Greenville Morning Rotary Club has maintained an abiding commitment to numerous service projects on the community, national and international levels.

Rocking Horse Ranch Therapeutic Riding Program is a not-for-profit organization founded by Eileen Van Houten in 1991 that provides equine assisted activities and therapy to children and adults with a variety of physical, cognitive, and psychological disabilities.

Students who participate in the program come from Pitt County as well as 13 surrounding counties in eastern North Carolina.

The ultimate goal of the program is to improve each participant's quality of life so that they can become more independent, productive and active members of the community. We are a PATH International Premier Accredited Center. (PATH Intl is the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International.) For more info, visit rhrnc.com
