Martin Enterprises, located in Williamston, recently received a Superior Rating for the ARC group home the nonprofit operates.

The N.C. Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation performs annual recertification reviews of all homes located in the state.

“To be found to have no deficiencies by this agency is rare,” Group Homes Manager Joveeta Brown said. “The inspections are very thorough, and it takes a lot of effort from staff to ensure that everything is up to par.”

The home, located in Williamston, was built and opened by Martin Enterprises in 1990 to serve six clients plus fulltime staff. The clients are transported to Martin Enterprises Monday through Friday for work and services.

Martin Enterprises is a community rehabilitation program which was established in 1972 for people with disabilities.
