Budget Blinds of Greenville, New Bern and Morehead City has been recognized in Budget Blinds Top 20 franchises as the No. 5 best performing franchise in North America for the second year in a row. The eastern North Carolina company was recognized and awarded on Jan. at the Annual Budget Blinds Convention in Orlando, Fla.

The Budget Blinds of Greenville, New Bern and Morehead City team has been a consistent top-performing team that has won numerous awards for superior performance in recent years.

The franchisee’s proactive approach to marketing its product in the Greenville, New Bern and Morehead City areas has gained maximum exposure in the window coverings market in eastern North Carolina. With a wide variety of clients, ranging from residential homeowners and businesses, to partnering with home builders and interior designers, company employees have proven to be experts on custom window coverings.

Matt Thomas, sales consultant, accepted the award on behalf of franchise owner Charlie Utz at the Orlando convention.

“Over 1300 franchise owners, including those in Canada and Mexico was represented at the convention,” Thomas said. “To hear your name called as the fifth-ranked franchise for the second year in a row was an humbling experience, considering the impact that occurred from Hurricane Florence in our region. To think that our rural and coastal location, despite the recent devastation, ranked number five again is just amazing.”

“This top honor was achieved by the hard work of not only the sales team, but also the team behind the scenes,” said Owner Charlie Utz. “The office staff and installers play a major part in our success. This is truly a team award and I am looking forward to what 2019 brings us.”

Budget Blinds corporate offices are located in Orange, Cal., and it is the largest window covering franchise in North America. The company offers a full line of quality window coverings, including shutters, shades, blinds, draperies and window film. It also provides free in-home consultations as well as complete measuring and installation services.
