Tyman Wallace Jr.

U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman Tyman Wallace Jr. has been selected as the Director of Medical Services Sailor of the Month for November 2018.

Wallace works in the U.S. Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan. He has served in the Navy for 18 months.

He is the son of Tyman M. Wallace Sr. and Glinda Wallace of Raeford. 

He graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Alexandra, Va., in 2010.

Cody W. Spencer

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Cody W. Spencer graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Spencer is the son of Merle and Charles R. Spencer of Swan Quarter.

He is a 2005 graduate of Mattamuskeet High School, Swan Quarter. He earned a bachelor's degree in 2013 from East Carolina University, Greenville,

Nickolas S. Barnes
