CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Two Charlotte-area golf courses have been placed under the control of a court-appointed third party because of unpaid loans.
The Charlotte Observer reported (http://bit.ly/13Mi6VD) that Skybrook Golf Club in Huntersville and Charlotte Golf Links have been placed under the control of a receiver.
Hunting Dog Capital has sued to try to recover nearly $7 million loaned to the two courses operated by Carolina Trail Golf Partners.
Carolina Trail Golf Partners has not yet filed a response to the lawsuit.
Andrew Bolnick & Associates has been appointed receiver. Billy Casper Golf Management has been hired to oversee operations at the golf courses. Rich Katz with the golf management company says he hopes to stabilize operations at the two courses.
A hearing will be held to determine the future of the courses.
