CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — The brainchild behind Fox News Channel is in North Carolina to talk to up-and-coming journalists.
Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes speaks on Thursday at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's journalism school. Ailes agreed to a live on-stage interview with two UNC student journalists after his lecture.
Ailes was an Emmy-award-winning TV producer who became a Republican media consultant. He has advised three U.S. Presidents, senators, governors and Fortune 500 CEOs.
Ailes in 1996 created Fox News, which became the country's most watched news channel within six years. Fox News now reaches more than 90 million homes.
