LINCOLNTON — Lincoln County deputies say a 54-year-old man called 911 to say he killed his wife and was going to commit suicide.
Authorities say officers got to the Lincolnton home around 12:30 p.m. Saturday and were able to use a stun gun to disarm Terry White. They then found 39-year-old Ruby White dead with a gunshot wound to the head.
Investigators say a domestic dispute apparently led up to the shooting. It was the first homicide this year in Lincoln County.
Terry White is charged with first-degree murder. He is being held in jail without bond, and it wasn't known if he had an attorney.
