RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — A lockdown of the sprawling main campus at Wake Technical Community College south of Raleigh has been lifted.
The campus was locked down shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday following a report of a man with a gun on the campus.
Officers are escorting students off campus. Classes are set to resume at 1 p.m.
School spokeswoman Laurie Clowers said the administration worked with Wake County sheriff's deputies to determine the seriousness of the threat.
Wake Tech has five campus locations and two academic centers, enrolling more than 63,000 students.
