More Palin tickets now available
Those interested in hearing vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin speak in Greenville Tuesday need to act fast.
A representative from the local GOP headquarters announced nearly 10 minutes ago that an additional allotment of tickets for Palin’s speech at East Carolina University’s Minges Coliseum are now available at the Commerce Street office.
They are being distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Individuals who signed up earlier in the day are currently getting calls notifying them of availability, but the tickets are available to anyone.
The representative did not specify how many tickets remain.

So Sarah has gone out on her own….is she still peeved that her Maverick running mate did not consult her on conceding Michigan. I’m sure she will do well here afer all she is JOE SIX PACK and HECK she may DARN well draw in the crowds….if not SHE’LL GET BACK TO YA!!!! It amazes me how little intelligence and command of the English language the Republicans seem to want in a VP!!! Sarah will sure sound good with her limited vocabulary talking with world leaders….what an embarrassment!!!!

There is a much better speech going on on campus that evening at the Wright auditorium. Skip the circus, and come to the lecture by Walter Isaacson, journalist, biographer and former CEO of CNN - “Creative Leaders Who Have Shaped Our World”. It starts at 7:00pm and is open to the public. Tickets are available from the ECU ticket office and are free to ECU students, faculty, and staff.

I have no issue with Palin coming to Greenville.
What I do have an issue with is the young soldier wearing his ACUs to (1) wait in line and (2) sign up for a political rally, both pictures in his Army Combat Uniform (ACU).
Army regulations prohibit such scenes by active, reserve and guardsmen while in uniform. Though the soldier is not actively campaigning for one or the other, his presence for this political rally could show a partiality - an endorsement by his chain-of-command and result in some believing in a quasi-endorsement by the US Army.
Furthermore, this soldier was in this line during the duty day. Does his NCOs know where he was and what he was doing? We don’t know what type of orders allowed him to wear his uniform, however, he was either on federal or state taxpayer supported activities to support the War On Terror, not sign up for a GOP Political Rally.
So, young Specialist, please note that your superiors need you to report this to higher commands immediately. And, note that wherever you go in uniform, you represent the United States Army, and thus, are accountable for your actions.

There is nothing wrong with a soldier getting tickets to see sarah Palin speak. He wore it during a duty day and on his way home or his lunch break he was getting them. There is nothing in the UCMJ or AR670-1 prohibiting him from purchasing those tickets in that uniform. Only if he wears the uniform TO the speech. Then higher needs to be notified, but there is no need to be all uptight about it. So turn your tampon the right way and get over it. Either stand behind him and shut up or stand in front of him and take the shots. At least he has the balls to serve.

Kyle, you are trying to make extremists agree with rational thought, it will not work. It seems amusing to me how Democrats were all about a female to be President a few months ago, now heaven forbid a female be vice-president.
