Palin tickets available at 3 p.m
Tickets for Gov. Sarah Palin’s Greenville visit will be handed out at 3 p.m. today at the Greenville GOP office on Commerce Street.
Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee, is scheduled to speak at East Carolina University’s Minges Coliseum Tuesday. Doors will open at 4 p.m.
A representative from the Greenville office confirmed earlier today that a limited number of tickets are being distributed there and at offices in Fayetteville, Goldsboro, Jacksonville, Laurinburg, Raleigh, Rocky Mount and Wilmington.
Details for the event:
-No bags or signs will be permitted through security.
-Following the rally, those attending are invited to stay and watch the second presidential debate. The debate is scheduled for 9 p.m. Tuesday.
-Anyone without a ticket who would like to watch Palin will have the opportunity to do so from a remote site near Minges Coliseum. Campaign officials say there also is a possibility that some of the overflow crowd may be allowed into the main venue if there is any vacancy.

Greenville is apparently the only office that got additional tickets. My sister just got 2 tickets at 3:00 there. She was first in line and had waited in line 2 hrs 45 minutes. Wilmington has a few tickets left, but they are charging $20 for them because it includes a bus ride to Greenville from here. Anyway, lucky for me my little sis stood in line for my ticket! I am so excited to see our future VP in person.

Prosecutors move to delay Rezko sentencing By MIKE ROBINSON – 5 hours ago
CHICAGO (AP) — Federal prosecutors have asked to delay the sentencing of convicted fundraiser Antoin “Tony” Rezko indefinitely.
The motion filed Monday afternoon signals the key fundraiser for Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Sen. Barack Obama and other Illinois Domocrats may be telling prosecutors what he knows about corruption in state government.
It asks U.S. District Judge Amy J. St. Eve to delay the sentencing “while the parties engage in discussions that could affect their sentencing postures.” The language is all but an acknowledgment that Rezko is talking.
Rezko was convicted of launching a $7 million scheme to use his clout with Blagojevich’s administration to pressure a contractor and firms wanting to do business with the state for kickbacks.
