No news on Palin tickets
A check at Minges this morning produced no additional news about ticket availability or scheduling for tonight’s planned Sarah Palin visit.
A caller said lines were forming at the ECU coliseum, but a reporter found only local television news crews and campaign workers about 10:45.
The workers would not respond to questions about ticket availability, referring questions to Republican headquarters in Greenville.
An official at GOP headquarters said last night that it had about 25 more tickets for tonight’s event. No word on how or when or if more would be made available.
An answering machine at the office this morning said no more tickets are available. The number for the office is 321-1996.
Doors at Minges were expected to open at 4 p.m., and Palin could speak around 7, though that’s not been announced formally.
No word on whether tickets would be available at the door.
We’ll supply more information when we get it.
Campaign officials say there will be a spot outside of Minges reserved for those without a ticket who would like to hear the Alaska governor speak.
That location has yet to be confirmed, but there has been speculation that it will be ECU’s Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
