Stellar idea MHG! Deathtraps for the homeless!! Drop some extension cords, throw in a few alcoholic crack addicts with hot plates, some power tools(because it just makes sense they should be deathtraps AND workhouses), add a chain smoker and whoohooo, the Reflector’ll get really interesting for a few months.

why doesn’t the city set these folks up in one of the several abandoned factories/warehouses around greenville? build small, walls only rooms for each person with a couple of outlets to run a light and a fan. put in a nice bunk and a chair and clean bedclothes. have a security guard present and include a simple dining area for basic foods. they could transition from this to a home over time. you could also set up work areas in the building for people to do work for the other manufacturing facilities on an outsourcing basis to help them accumulate money for transition.
