It would have been nice if the kids who entered their art in the Collard Festival Art Contest had been mentioned at the reception held on Sunday. The child, Sam Matney, whose drawings won first and second prizes, was not recognized in any way at all.

This pageant has had people of color in it. Fallon Speaker was a beautiful woman of color who won the pageant a few years back. The town nor this website should be scolded for who decides to join the pageant. This not a racist thing. Girls of any color are welcome to join.

The collard parade had a great turnout, but I was very dissapointed by how bad the crowds "Hackeled" the parade members. Some of the crowds were very rude and even approached vehicles demanding candy. I saw a solid two blocks of scum. Great day, great turnout, another rude event with a certain type of folks.

Obviously you were not there to see the event. There was two people of "color" there. Once again, falling back on the excuse.
