
Board of Commissioners honors 29 county employees

The Pitt County Board of Commissioners recently recognized milestone years of service of 29 employees.
Certificates and recognition pins were given to employees who reached five, 10, 15, 20 and 25 of service. Those reaching the 20-year milestone were presented watches.
Honored for 25 years of service with the county was Lisa K. Wingate of Public Health.
Receiving recognition for 20 years were Bonnie L. Barrett, Rebecca N. Dickens and Katherine S. Parker of Social Services; Thomas A. Crandall of the Sheriff’s Office; and Mary V. Phillips of Public Health.
Recognized for 15 years with the county were Debra K. Dunn with the Detention Center, Delilah W. Garris with Social Services, Stephen L. Godley with Public Health, Robert M. Phelps with Environmental Health, Reginald W. Satterfield with Inspections and Samual H. Smith with Solid Waste.
Honored for 10 years of service were William R. Gay, Mark D. Langley and Rebecca N. Laster with the Detention Center; Samuel E. Johnson with Planning; Samuel E. Minter with Social Services; Susan S. Shelton with Public Health; and Stephen K. Sutton with the Sheriff’s Office.
Five-year service recognition was given to Robert M. Abbott and John C. Patterson with the Detention Center; Dikita Q. Barnes, Carla L. Moss and Karen M. Wallace with Social Services; Kimberly B. Hardee with the Register of Deeds; Desha N. Lane and Lisa S. Self with the Sheriff’s Office; Shelley Z. Leach with Financial Services; and Herbert T. Worthington with Solid Waste.
