Bowing out of the bridal business after more than 12 years, the owner of Affordable Elegance said she’s ready for retirement but will miss “my brides.”

Sylvia Measamer Hines, 65, is closing the store with a target date of mid-March.

Inside the 4,000-square-foot shop at 911-913 Red Banks Road in Arlington Village, all bridal gowns, wedding party apparel and dresses for mothers of the bride or groom are discounted. Her stock also contains a wide selection of prom dresses.
