Head designer, creative director of John Hardy line to make appearance at Bailey's Fine Jewelry in Raleigh

Monday, November 02, 2009

Guy Bedarida, head designer and creative director of the luxury jewelry brand John Hardy, will be visiting Bailey's Fine Jewelry in Cameron Village on Thursday.

Bedarida is touring select cities throughout the United States to promote the fall line, and the Raleigh location will be his only stop in North Carolina. He will be in the store from noon until 3 p.m., meeting with customers and signing pieces of jewelry purchased during the trunk show.

"It is a real privilege for us to have Guy visiting our store," said Marci Bailey, fashion buyer and consultant for Bailey's Fine Jewelry. "Guy is an innovative designer, who finds the inspiration for his work in his day-to-day living. We're excited to offer our customers the opportunity to meet him and to learn more about the creative mind behind their jewelry."

Bedarida will speak about his inspirations for the fall collection, his most recent travels, and the company's commitment to being environmentally carbon neutral. John Hardy launched its Wear Bamboo, Plant Bamboo program in 2006. The line is committed to planting bamboo saplings in Bali and training local farmers about sustainability to eliminate the carbon emitted from the company's print advertising campaigns, business air travel, and electricity use. Each piece is inscribed on the inside with the number of saplings planted as a result of the purchase.

Founded in 1948, Bailey's Fine Jewelry is a family-owned and operated company with stores in Raleigh, Rocky Mount and Greenville.
