New general contractor in Washington focuses on hiring, serving veterans

East Carolina Veteran Contractors Inc. (ECVC), a general building contractor, has formed with its corporate office in Washington, N.C., and a focus of hiring veterans to work for veterans.
The corporation is owned and operated by Troy Bundy, chairman and chief executive officer, of Williamston; Jeryl Rawls, vice president, of Washington, N.C.; and Kevin Rawls of Greenville, secretary-treasurer.
ECVC received its unlimited North Carolina general contractor’s license in November. It is a small business entity with HUB zone and service disable veteran owned business status.
ECVC’s concentration will be in military and VA Hospital work with other public and private sector projects. Travelers Casualty and Surety will represent ECVC in its bonding needs.
Bundy is a disabled military veteran, trained by U.S. Army special operations. He was employed as general manager of WIMCO Post Frame Structures for 11 years as well as co-owner of Bundy and Bundy Residential Construction.
Jeryl Rawls is the chief executive officer of WIMCO Corp., a local general building contractor with a 60-year history. Kevin Rawls is president of WIMCO.
Also on the board of directors is Joseph A. Angell II of Raleigh Commander, who has more than 25 years of experience in construction as well as a military background.
