Certification
Jim Pagnani, a financial adviser with Wells Fargo Advisors LLC, has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards to use CFP (certified financial planner) marks in accordance with the CFP board certification and renewal requirements.
These marks identify individuals who have met the experience and ethical requirements of the CFP board, completed financial planning coursework, and passed the CFP certification examination covering the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning.
CFP certificants also must meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold the CFP board's code of ethics and professional responsibility and financial planning practice standards.
Pagnani has provided financial advisory services to public and private clients for nearly 20 years. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors, he was a vice president and principal shareholder with Harris Williams & Co., a multi-national mergers and acquisitions firm. His experience also includes work as an associate at Salomon Brothers Inc. (now Citigroup) as director of strategic planning and policy with the U.S. Small Business Administration, and as senior mergers and acquisitions analyst at Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co.
Pagnani earned an M.B.A. from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a bachelor's degree with distinction from UNC, where he was a Thomas J. Watson Memorial Scholar and a John Motley Morehead Merit Scholar.
Internship
Everett Warren, son of Yancey and Linda Warren of Robersonville, was the first Park Scholar chosen to pioneer an eight-week pediatric internship in collaboration with N.C. State University and the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
Warren was exposed to a variety of pediatric specialties including pediatric cardiology, pediatric cardiac surgery, neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, newborn nursery and pediatric hematology/oncology.
He also participated in a variety of clinical settings including the Healthy Weight clinic, the Bernstein Center, routine well-check clinics and sick child clinics.
This experience enforced his desire to pursue his goal to become a pediatrician. Everett is a pre-med student at N.C. State University majoring in biology and genetics with a minor in Spanish. He was awarded the N.C. State Park Scholarship in 2007 which provided him a full four-year academic scholarship.
Staff additions
Marcus Wayne Conner Jr. has joined the law firm of Graham, Nuckolls & Brown, PLLC as an associate attorney.
A native of Greenville, Conner received his undergraduate degree from East Carolina University and his J.D. from New England School of Law in Boston.
During law school, he worked as a judicial intern for Judge Robert Ronquillo in South Boston District Court, for the Massachusetts attorney general's office, and for the Roxbury (Mass.) district attorney, He also volunteered for the New England Innocence Project. Conner pursues a general practice with an emphasis in criminal law.

Real estate
David Robinson has joined the real estate staff at Prudential Prime Properties on Charles Boulevard in Greenville.
Robinson, a Pitt County native, is a recent graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in economics. He has a background in construction and real estate.
