Martin Luther King Day is a good time to consider ways to nurture young people and promote community service, and a local outreach effort is offering a great opportunity to do both.
The Pitt County HEROES program will give up to $1,000 to help fund service projects geared to have a positive impact on the area’s youth.
HEROES (Helping Establish Responsible, Outreaching & Encouraging Students) is supported by the Greater Greenville Community Foundation and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pitt County. It nurtures young people on several levels.
