Clark: Police, paper struggle for precision

“If there are drug problems in my country; if there are murderers killing people in my city; if people are breaking into houses in my neighborhood; I want to know about it. I need to know about it.... That’s why the newspaper reports these things.”

That was from a piece I wrote for the Reflector back in October of 1992. While much has changed in community journalism over these years, this has not.
