In honor of Father's Day, here are a few of the many things I've learned from my father, Odell Welborn:

Play fair. It's more important to follow the rules of the game and show good sportsmanship than to win. If you follow the rules and show good sportsmanship, you are a winner.

Only flip the burgers once. There's nothing worse than a dried out hamburger or steak. Don't cook over a fire that's too hot, don't press down on the meat with the spatula and don't keep turning it over and over.
