CHARLOTTE — If the NCAA had an Office of Turnovers to monitor the giveaways and takeaways during college football games across the country, it would have been on red alert Saturday night, all eyes glued to the game in Charlotte.

It might even use footage from the game in public service announcements promoting better ball security.

South Carolina's 56-37 win over East Carolina would have been a different game without its nine turnovers, which turned the affair into more of a half-field spectacle at times than an actual game.
