Pitt NAMI group to meet

Food group offers movie screening
Slow Food Down East, a local chapter of Slow Food USA, will host a free screening of the movie, “Food, Inc.” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Tipsy Teapot. A discussion and question and answer session will follow the movie. For more information, call the Tipsy Teapot at 413-0087.
Hospice to hold celebration of life
University Health Systems’ Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice will hold its second annual Tree of Love Celebration of Life program at 6 p.m. Thursday at the hospice, 920 Wellness Drive. Dr. Dean Patton, inpatient hospice medical director, will offer brief remarks, and guests may tour the facility. Light refreshments will be served.
The event honors and memorializes the lives of a loved one. Each donation of $5 buys a heart that is placed on a tree inside the inpatient hospice building and funds patient-oriented programs, such as massage and touch therapy, journaling and other comfort programs for patients. Film screening offered
The End of Life Care Coalition of Eastern North Carolina is partnering with the Bioethics Center at the Brody School of Medicine to offer a free film presentation at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Monroe Center, 2000 Venture Tower Drive. “Marvin’s Room” with Meryl Streep, Leonardo DiCaprio, Diane Keaton and Robert De Niro will be shown, followed by a discussion of the film. Quartet to offer singing valentine
