Yancey Everett Warren Jr., will begin studies in the University of North Carolina Medical School in the fall after completing his two-year teaching contract with Teach For America in the Washington, D.C., region this month.

While teaching, Warren received his Masters of Arts in Teaching from American University in May.

Warren is a 2007 J.H. Rose High School graduate and a N.C. State University Park academic scholarship recipient who also studied abroad in Peru.
