An Ayden man in his early 20s died in a traffic accident in Greenville early Sunday morning, a State Highway Patrol official said.

The accident occurred about 12:40 a.m. on N.C. 903 South, about four-tenths of a mile west of Frog Level Road. The man died in the accident, and his two passengers were seriously injured, Trooper S. Ziemba said.

“They collided with a ditch and overturned several times,” Ziemba said.
