A Greenville man who reportedly admitted to troopers he was speeding away from them when he wrecked his car was charged with having a blood alcohol content of more than double the legal limit, records show.

State Highway Patrol met a speeding vehicle on N.C. 43 about 11:30 p.m. on March 7, according to court records. The trooper turned around to conduct a stop and noted the driver was speeding away from him. He reported he clocked the vehicle at 76 mph in a 45 mph zone.

The trooper indicated in his report he was “about to call in a car chase” when the vehicle gave a left turn signal, attempted to turn left onto B Stokes Road, locked up its tires and slid off the road into the ditch at 11:35 p.m.

That guy should probably be

That guy should probably be locked away in a padded room.

Felony

The problem with this is all he will face is midemeanor charges. Get caught with trace of a certain drug and bits an automatic FELONY. This guy drunk x 2, runs from police putting them in danger and smiles at camera ... nothing. YOU WANT TO STOP DRUNK DRIVING ...MAKE IT A FELONY! It does put peoples live in danger

Loser!

Maybe some time in the slammer would wipe that goofy grin off his face.
