A man arrested in a wreck that killed a Greenville woman had a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit, authorities said Monday.
The State Highway Patrol arrested Sidney Pasqual Barrett, 26, after his vehicle struck a car driven by Phyllis Ann Hardy, 57, of Greenville. The wreck occurred about 11:15 p.m. Saturday on N.C. 121 near Farmville.
A crash report said Barrett was driving a 1998 Ford south on N.C. 121 into a right-hand curve when he went left of the center line and collided with Hardy’s 2008 Ford, which was traveling north.
