A Winterville man charged with heroin trafficking was sentenced in federal court Monday to 24 years imprisonment.
Daryl Bernard Tyson, 37, was sentenced to 288 months for one charge and received a concurrent sentence of 240 months imprisonment for another, followed by five years supervised release.
Tyson pleaded guilty Jan. 10, 2011, to conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute more than 100 grams of heroin and money laundering by concealment, according to a U.S. Department of Justice news release.
