Two Rocky Mount teens are wanted by Greenville police in connection with the Saturday night robbery of a 20-year-old East Carolina University student. Two men already have been charged and arrested in the incident.
Officials said William Dawson was approached by a group of about five men about 11:25 p.m. at East Fifth and Jarvis streets. At least one man pulled a silver revolver on the student and demanded money. That man allegedly is Michael Sharkeem Wilson, 21, of Rocky Mount, was arrested downtown after the incident and booked in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond.
An ECU alert issued at 12:02 a.m. Sunday said the suspect was with a group of about five other men who "took no active role in the robbery." However, additional investigation by Greenville police found enough evidence to obtain additional charges against three other suspects.
